March 19th will mark the eve of the 18-month anniversary of hurricane Maria striking Puerto Rico.
On September 20, 2017 Hurricane Maria wrought havoc on the island of Puerto Rico.
A year later, The Center for Puerto Rican Studies (Centro) at Hunter College published a report that takes an in-depth look at the impact of the hurricane: emergency disaster relief, death toll counts, recovery efforts, and the Post-Maria Massive Exodus.
Carlos Vargas-Ramos, PhD will present Centro’s research and findings.
Refreshments will be served.
Event is sponsored by: St. Nicks Alliance, Southside United HDFC - Los Sures, El Puente, and Conselyea Street Block Association
