Brooklyn Borough President Eric L. Adams invites you to a free community overdose prevention training!
In 2017, there were 1,487 unintentional opioid overdose deaths in New York City. Brooklyn had the second highest number (359). We all need to come together to combat this epidemic.
At the training you will:
- Know how to recognize an overdose and learn how to save a life.
- Learn how to become a certified opioid overdose responder.
- Receive a free rescue kit with naloxone (a lifesaving medication), if you choose to certify.
