Joshua Siegel- General Partner, Rubicon Venture Capital LLC
Joshua leads Rubicon’s New York office and oversees the day to day activities and operations of Rubicon.
His activities includes evaluating early stage technology companies seeking funding, assisting current portfolio companies with development and interaction with our angels, attracting LP capital, and development of our network.
Joshua has extensive experience and connections in technology, real estate, luxury lifestyle brands, digital media, and consumer products. Previously, Mr. Siegel acted as a General Partner at Georgetown Angels, a global angel investment group he cofounded with Andrew Romans. He was also an early stage strategic advisor for startups and real estate concerns, and board member of The Founders Club, a venture capital equity exchange fund and broker of secondaries providing liquidity to entrepreneurs and early investors. Formerly CEO of Professional Connection Resources, an enterprise level marketing system for the legal community, Manager Eastern European Banking Systems at Citibank, Director of Market Intelligence at Citicorp Debt Capital Markets.
Mr. Siegel received his BA degree from Boston University in Economics and Business Administration and received his MBA from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business in Finance and Entrepreneurship in 2000 with classmate Andrew Romans. He also holds a Degree in Gastronomy from the Institute of Culinary Education in New York. Joshua was born and raised in New York City, attended Horace Mann, and continues to live in the City with his wife, son and daughter.

Business School, Marc is also Board Co-Chair of Chefs Collaborative, a 25 year old non-profit

Alon Chen - Co-founder & CEO - Tastewise
A senior Google executive for close to a decade, Alon Chen has a wealth of experience in leveraging AI and big data across technology, business and marketing.
During his time at Google, Alon initiated and launched the Google Partners channel program in 27 countries, on-boarding 60,000 partners worldwide.
Alon also served as Google’s Chief Marketing Officer for Israel and Greece and led the company’s relationship with the World Economic Forum. As Chief Business Officer for Voyager Labs, an AI and cognitive deep learning company funded by Oracle, Alon developed and led their AI marketing-tech eCommerce solution.
Victor Penev- CEO, Edamam
Victor Penev is a serial entrepreneur and the founder and CEO of Edamam. He is also a
mentor and investor in food technology startups and advises early stage entrepreneurs.
Previous to Edamam,
Victor co-founded and sold Bulgaria’s largest Internet Company,
NetInfo BG. Victor Penev also ran the international digital business of Playboy
Enterprises, and was instrumental in starting the digital marketing efforts of BMG and in
creating key e-commerce capability for Bertelsmann’s book clubs.
Victor holds a MBA from Stanford.
Hannah McCain - Vice President, Accel Foods
Hannah McCain is a Vice President with AccelFoods, where she supports the investment activities of the fund, sourcing and diligence of new investment opportunities, and works tactically with the portfolio companies to build out their financial plans.
Hannah began her career as an Associate in the Wealth Management Rotational Program at Bank of Montreal (BMO). While there, Hannah identified and analyzed investment opportunities, developed financial models, and supported clients on the portfolio management side. Additionally she worked in equity research, investment management, and online investing strategy. Hannah holds an Honors Business Administration degree from the Ivey Business School at Western University in London, Ontario
Molly Hemmeter - President & CEO, Landec Corporation
Molly Hemmeter serves as President and CEO of Landec Corporation, a diversified health and wellness company with two operating businesses: Lifecore Biomedical, a contract development and manufacturing company (CDMO), and Curation Foods, a branded natural foods company focused on innovating plant-based foods with 100% clean ingredients. Molly earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Louisville and Master’s degree in Business Administration from Harvard University.
She began her career as a process engineer in the pharmaceutical industry and, after receiving her MBA, made a dramatic career change to consumer brand marketing before beginning two software start-ups. Each of these experiences provided the opportunity to create disruptive business models and new products to gain competitive advantage. Since joining Landec in 2009, she has transformed the organization through business model re-design to drive long-term growth. Molly has a personal passion for plant-based foods, increasing access of 100% clean, fresh foods to as many people as possible and sustainable business practices that respect people, preserve our planet and expand opportunities for women.
Christopher Ager - Head of Restaurant Operations, US & Canada , UberEats
Christopher is Head of Restaurant Operations for Uber Eats for US & Canada, where Uber partners with over 100,000 restaurants. He’s focused on empowering restaurants to grow their businesses through off-premise sales, utilizing Uber’s extensive logistics network and technology capabilities.
Chris started his career in restaurants at the age of 14, and he’s been worked with them in a number of capacities throughout his career, including back-of-house and front-of-house roles, concept development, finance, and B2B software. Chris holds degrees from the Culinary Institute of America, Cornell’s School of Hotel Administration, and Harvard Business School.
Leslie Kipps - Senior Vice President, Product & Design, Food Network
Liesel Kipp is SVP, Product & Design for Discovery Digital Studios, a newly expanded hub for digital and social video content creation, where she uses her nearly 20 years of digital product experience to lead product teams across a variety of categories and platforms including web, mobile, social and emerging platforms for a number of lifestyle brands including Food Network, HGTV, Travel Channel, Genius Kitchen and DIY Network.
Prior to her current role, Kipp served as VP, Product & Design of Scripps Networks, where she led the evolution of the company’s digital portfolio, including the launch of connected TV apps across Roku, Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV, an overhaul of digital publishing platforms, the extension of Food Network brand in emerging innovation platforms (Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant & Facebook Messenger) and the continued evolution of Food Network’s In The Kitchen app, placing it among the top recipe apps in Apple’s App Store.
Kipp joined Scripps Networks in 2013 from KPMG, where she was in charge of its digital content strategy. Before KPMG, Kipp launched and served as General Manager of Marketwatch.com and SmartMoney.com for the Wall Street Journal Digital Network. She also led the creation of WSJ Select, an early player in the content and commerce space that featured gift guides and merchandise curated for the Wall Street Journal
