Are you interested in learning how to speak with state legislators and gain confidence to advocate at the Capitol for issues you care about?
Attend our Learning to Lobby Training and get the information and practice needed to become a citizen lobbyist.
-How to keep track of bills, committee hearings, etc., to stay abreast on important legislative issues
-Tips and tricks for effectively communicating with elected representatives and for navigating the politisphere.
-We'll listen to a phone call between a citizen lobbyist and a state senator's staffer so people can see an example of citizen lobbying in action. There will also be opportunities for people to practice in mock meetings and discussions.
It's all done over zoom, so anyone can join. The content is not partisan and is relevant to advocacy on any issue people are passionate about.
