Aggarwala, who serves as both the city’s Chief Climate Officer and the Commissioner of NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). DEP provides 1.1 billion gallons of water to 9 billion New Yorkers daily, manages stormwater and coastal resilience infrastructure citywide, and operates 14 Water Resource Recovery Facilities (WRRFs) that keep NYC’s local waters clean.


Commissioner Aggarwala will talk about his career path leading up to his appointment as Chief Climate Officer and DEP Commissioner. He’ll discuss how NYC is driving innovation in urban infrastructure and making New York more resilient to the impacts of climate change.
