Work in tech? Curious about organizing or what being in a tech worker union is like? Join us at the Albert and Vera List Academic Center on December 16th from 7-9pm where we will go over the basics of organizing and hear directly from a panel of tech organizers from Kickstarter United and the NYT Tech Guild.
For too long we have seen a slashing of the tech workforce, a slow descent from remote work to 5 days working in office, and stagnant wages, while tech CEOs make record profits.
We believe that united, we can create an industry that serves its workers and its users. We believe that tech workers should have a say in the ethics of the companies we work for, so together we can build technologies and a world that we’re proud of.
Join us for a teach-in + panel that will address questions such as: What does organizing look like? Why do we need labor organizing in the tech industry? How do we win a 4-day work week? and more!
Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions! We hope to see you there and have an insightful educational experience together! :)
