On Tuesday, February 24, from 6:30-9:00 pm, Queens Centers for Progress presents the 30th annual "Evening of Fine Food" at Terrace on the Park in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park, featuring delicious dishes from some of the finest restaurants and chefs in the neighborhood. The event will raise funds to support the long-time organization's programs and services, assisting more than 1,200 individuals with developmental disabilities in leading more independent lives. In addition to delivering delicious bites from around the world and entertainment, the nonprofit will honor individuals who have made an impact and a difference in the community as "Chefs of the Year": Patricia Ornst (Delta Airlines), Richard S. David (Con Edison), and Ben Guttman (Queens Economic Development Corporation). QCP will also present the Claire Shulman "Spirit of Community" Award to Loycent Gordon of Neir's Tavern, the oldest bar in New York City.
