Join the NYC-DSA Universal Childcare Working Group, the NYC-DSA Tax the Rich campaign, and Our Time to knock doors for free, universal child care for all and a state budget that improves the lives of millions of New Yorkers! The cost of child care is out of reach for New Yorkers – statewide, we’re collectively paying $14 billion a year for child care. Trump’s federal budget slashed SNAP, Medicaid, and funding to public hospitals, and he's threatning childcare funding to our state, hurting millions of New Yorkers. We need to tax the rich.

What happens in Albany this winter will shape Zohran’s first year in office and determine whether working families get the relief they need. We have until March to build enough pressure to win a state budget that permanently funds free and truly universal childcare for every New Yorker. That's why on January 24th, we are knocking doors to demand our legislators and governor TAX THE RICH TO FUND UNIVERSAL CHILDCARE!

This event will be child- and family-friendly and encouraged. RSVP now and we will provide updates on kid-friendly activities and childcare.
