Labor 101

Are you a worker? Do you want to build power for yourself and your co-workers? Do you support the striking nurses? Do you want to protect your co-workers and their families from ICE, get your union to support a free Palestine and Divest from the U.S. war machine? Please join the Labor Working Group in our inaugural Labor 101 to learn how these issues relate to socialism and the labor movement. In this interactive presentation participants will discuss why socialists belong in the labor movement and why the labor movement is the key to socialism. Come learn some theory, history and how to get involved in NYC-DSA labor work through the Labor Working Group, including strike support, salting, reform caucuses, workers organizing workers, EWOC and more! We’ll also have coffee!
