Come join us for a fun-filled evening with various climate-centered games at the NYC-DSA Office! Here's some games we will have at hand, from cooperative to competitive, from multi-hour complex board games to quick, conversational card games:
Daybreak β From the creator of Pandemic, a sprawling, ambitious co-op climate sprint where you race to decarbonize the global economy. Policy cards, clean tech, and cascading crises keep the tension humming. πβ‘
Solutions: The Game β Based on research from Drawdown.org, this is a simple cooperative card game where players discuss and arrange realβworld climate solutions from least to most impactful, before time runs out. π₯π
Power Failure β Race to build the most productive power grid. The player who provides the bustling city with the most megawatts wins! Power production is inherently volatile, though, as rash individuals risk environmental catastrophes that set everyone back. ποΈ
The Spill β You collaborate to clean un an ocean oil spill, moving around the source and saving as many marine animals as possible. π’οΈ
Photosynthesis β Basically tree chess for 4 players. A lush, you grow trees, harvest sunlight, and outmaneuver opponents in a living forest of shifting shadows. Elegant, tactical, and beautifully tactile. π³βοΈ
