In partnership with the Emergency Workplace Organizing Committee, Break the Chain (NYC-DSA's chapterwide campaign organizing for a citywide arms embargo) will be conducting a thoughtful workshop on how to best speak with JFK workers about weapons transport through our city's airport. This is a worker safety issue, as well as one that maintains NYC's complicity within the ongoing war crimes and genocide within the Middle East. We'll discuss how to best introduce yourself to new demographics of workers around this sensitive issue, as well as foster more long-term organizing relationships with them around bread and butter issues.

All interested organizers are welcome to attend! You do not need to have previous labor organizing experience nor do you need to be a union member, but of course we welcome any insights from experienced individuals!

Workers have the power to enact an arms embargo for Palestine.

There are weapons, military equipment, and dangerous explosives being exported to Israel out of JFK airport and Port Elizabeth in New Jersey. These materials are directly being used to execute the Palestinian genocide, and we need to tell the Port Authority of NY/ NJ that its facilitation of these exports is unacceptable.

Our in-person training events are focused on digging deeper on strategy and solutions for a city-wide labor movement for an Arms Embargo. We'll be mapping out this trajectory together, and we will finish with concrete action items.
