NYC-DSA's Citywide Political Education Committee is piloting a NEW series of foundational socialist modules!
The second of these three modules is Why the Working Class? In
this module, students will identify the strategic position that the working class occupies, the obstacles workers face in organizing and how they are overcome. We will also connect class struggle to broader fights against oppression, including racial, gender, and immigrant justice.
We ask that all participants read through the reading packet prior to the class. We also ask that you submit a brief [250 word] memo to the course google drive
concisely summarizing key takeaways from that week’s readings, and any
questions they’d like to prepare for that week's discussion. A sample memo can be found here.
