Where: Virtual

When: June 08th

Time: 03:00 pm

End Time: 05:00 pm

Price Range: Free

This workshop provides a space to challenge and demystify the glorification of neocolonial warfare by challenging the narratives that uphold neocolonial projects. In this class we will pinpoint the ways that narratives sustain the discrimination and violence that maintain and enforce our international order. Through weekly readings and writing assignments, we will learn to shift these norms in our everyday communications (emails, memos, conversations, press releases) and in more formal forms of writing (op-eds, essays).

This is a four-part workshop. Session 3 will focus on the tension between the American colonial concept of benevolent assimilation in the Philippines, and the Filipinos’ concept of their own natural rights.
