Soccer & Solidarity for Cuba
NYC DSA Soccer is honored to be hosting and playing the UN Mission of Cuba! We stand in full solidarity with the Cuban people who have been battling a crippling embargo from the US for over 66 years. We reject the new push from the US government to further hurt Cuba and call for an end to the embargo impacting millions in Cuba and across the world within the diaspora
Join us as we will be hearing from the UN Mission of Cuba at 2:30pm-3:30pm along with other guest speakers at the DSA Chinatown office. We will then walk to Sara D Roosevelt Park (~8 min walk from the office) to watch- NYC DSA vs The UN Mission of Cuba Solidarity game from 4pm-5pm
This event will be a fundraiser for the DSA Venceremos fund. This is a grassroots collective fund to help raise money for medical supplies in Cuba. You can donate here or at the event with the link below.

We are also having a soccer equipment drive at the event. All sporting equipment will be sent to Cuba. Please make sure this equipment is still operational. See list below of acceptable soccer equipment:
- jerseys
- soccer socks
- Sports shorts/pants
- Goalie gloves
- Leggings
- Soccer cleats, turf, or indoor shoes
- Deflated balls (please deflate for easy transport)
- Ball pumps + pump needles
- Pinnies
- Shin guards
- Training Cones
