HPPC is working with NY State Parks & Historic Sites to host volunteer days 3 times a week to help maintain Gantry Plaza State Park. Starting July 1, we will be working in the park every Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 10am (excluding July 4). Please click on this link (https://signup.com/go/VAynRKa) to go to our new SignUp website to find out more information and to register for some volunteer shifts!
You may sign up for as many as you want, but please DO NOT sign up for shifts if you will not be able to make them. We have strict limits on the number of people that are able to attend so if you sign up for a date and do not attend, it severely limits our ability to lead efficient and effective volunteer days. If you sign up and need to cancel that is okay, please just give us a day or two heads up.
Please also DO NOT just show up, you must register in advance! Register here: https://signup.com/go/VAynRKa
We will meet by the Red Adirondack chairs, just south of the Pepsi sign in Gantry Plaza State Park. Please bring your own pair of gloves if you have one. You should also bring your own water bottle, wear a mask, comfortable clothing, and closed toed shoes. All volunteers must have also completed HPPC & New York State Parks' waivers.
Once you arrive, those who need them will be given a pair of gloves and you will be directed to an area to pull weeds. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions
