January is #NationalBloodDonorMonth and a local and national supply shortage is ongoing. Pre-pandemic, the New York Blood Center had a 5-7 day supply available for local hospitals. That number now stands at 3 days. I am co-sponsoring a blood drive at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on Monday, January 18th. New Yorkers have shown their mettle and compassion in countless ways over the past 9 months. I invite you to do so again and make this contribution if you are able.
Many thanks to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church for providing the space.
Please remember to eat, drink & bring your donor ID card or ID with name and photo.
