Across the country, professionals in historically unorganized industries are joining together and realizing the power they have to create change when they act collectively. One of these groups is architectural professionals.
In this virtual event hosted by the Department for Professional Employees, AFL-CIO, attendees will learn about the issues impacting architectural professionals and how they are uniting to address problems in the industry. The event will include the following:
The release of the results of DPE’s survey of architectural professionals
Testimonies from architectural professionals who recently formed a union in their workplace
Q&A from union organizers with the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers working on the Architectural Workers United campaign
The event is meant to provide attendees with a better understanding of professionals in unions, the state of the architectural industry, and how architectural professionals can empower themselves to raise standards in their workplaces.
