Naturalization Workshop

New York Lawyers for the Public Interest, Catholic Migration Services, Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso’s office

Date: Oct 22nd

New York Lawyers for the Public Interest (NYLPI), Catholic Migration Services (CMS), Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso’s office, and representatives from some of New York’s top law firms will host a clinic at Brooklyn Borough Hall to assist immigrants as they undergo the naturalization process to become United States citizens.

As rhetorical attacks on immigrants and asylum seekers pick up pace, it’s critical that immigrants who wish to become citizens are given the tools and help necessary to go through the process of naturalization. The clinic assists prospective citizens with necessary paperwork and can also help attendees qualify for fee waivers to reduce the cost of naturalization. At the most recent clinic, held by NYLPI and CMS in March, 25 clients were served from over 15 countries, and 20 clients qualified for free or reduced waivers for their filings – for a total of over $14,000 saved.

RSVP Information

The deadline to sign up for the clinic is October 12. Prospective clients can register by calling 718-236-3000 Ext:1 or by texting 347-966-3238.

Ticket Price: $0.00
