The Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation holds the Runyon 5K at Yankee Stadium, with 100% of funds raised directly supporting innovative cancer research by brilliant early career scientists. This year the event will return to its weekend morning roots and will be a great summer activity for families as well as teams of friends and colleagues looking to experience Yankee Stadium like never before.
The route starts just inside the Gate 4 entrance and traverses the ballpark’s concourses, ramps, and stairs on multiple levels. Participants have the unique opportunity to take laps around the warning track that circles the field, appear on the centerfield video board, and meet scientists whose research is supported by Damon Runyon.
Participants can register at runyon5k.org for $45 through July 14. The entry fee will increase to $60 from July 15 through July 28. A reduced entry fee of $25 is available for children ages 5–12. 100%
